how the other half live...

hey all

sorry, been off-line for a few days - moved again - and had no internet all weekend - boo!

well, still have loads to catch up on on the blog... one day i'll get round to it - promise!

have to tell you about tonight's delights though. just been down to the very cool meatpacking district to meet my cousin ann and her friend david for a fantastic dinner. oh, i wish i could eat like that every night - burgers and fries be damned! it was a truly wonderful gastronomic experience! the restaurant was called the spice market - very beautiful inside, large south east asian restaurant with wonderful decor. the food was amazing - check out the pics. we had appetizers: pork satay with pickled vegetables, shaved tuna with asian pear and thai basil and vietnamese spring rolls. entrees: indonesian chicken curry, chargrilled chicken, ribs in broth with noodles, coconut rice and jasmine rice. no room for pudding!

was lovely to see ann again - haven't seen her for a few years now, so we had lots of catching up to do. it was sooooo nice to see someone i actually know in this city of anonymous faces!

feeling full and fabulous... time for bed...

  1. The place looks amazing! You are making me hungry! I hope you do fill us in on everything that is happening before you forget about it. New things are happening everyday. Have you seen the Italian lady again?
