gonna make this one quick as i'm off out to see the xx and jack penate for free in central park in a short while...
friday - another ridiculously long day... had my regular 'frouma friday' appointment at 9am - she always asks me something that i can't possibly remember on a friday morning and then tells me off when my poor brain can't quite reach out and grab the information it's grasping for! but she's great and she made me some coffee this morning which did help my little brain!!!
then it was off to see the gorgeous phyllis - i've told you all about phyllis before - 93, glamorous, beautiful apartment on 5th avenue... well, i turned up and she wanted to take me out for lunch! what a doll! so we went off to the lovely yura's on madison where she had about 2 bites of a salad and i had a big blt which was delicious. then she made me have a cupcake too! then we went off to the bank and then to the lovely little independent bookshop where she needed to get a card. then we went back to her apartment - and 3 and a half hours had gone by!!!!!

so then i had to skip off to see ann - went via the office which was a big mistake as i got chatting to robin and then kelly and got a bit worried about next weeks appointments - but had to run away as i was already late for ann. so we took a walk to the church garden and then i went and got her groceries and then i was done for the day!
popped into the thrift store and ended up buying a new banana republic skirt and top for $7.99 each and a bag to take on vacation for $9.99 - bargains!!!! then zoe called and we met at the cooper-hewitt museum for the cocktails in the garden evening - was lovely. yet again robin saved the day by lending me her membership card which got us in for free!

so we left there at 9pm and decided to try and join john and lucy on the intrepid (aircraft carrier where we saw ghostbusters) for the screening of raiders of the lost ark. but when we got there the shouty man wouldn't let us in. so zoe batted her eyelashes at another guy who worked there and we got in - yippeee! john met us on the red carpet and escorted us to where they were sitting - we'd missed half the film but it didn't matter - was great to be there again.
was gonna go straight home, but no, we ended up going out for more drinkies - i think zoe and i were quite pissed and we took forever getting home cos we couldn't stop giggling!
